Mai Khao
Living in Mai Khao
Mai Khao occupies Phuket's serene north-west corner, where the island's longest beach — some eleven kilometres of casuarina-backed sand — runs alongside Sirinat National Park toward the airport headland. This is Phuket at its most unhurried: protected parkland, sea-turtle nesting grounds and a shoreline where you can walk for an hour and meet almost no one. The area's character was set by flagship resorts such as JW Marriott, Anantara and Sala, whose villas and branded residences established Mai Khao as a discreet luxury address, and low-density condominium and pool-villa projects have followed. The airport is just 10–15 minutes away — ideal for owners who fly often — while Robinson Thalang, the international schools of the Thalang corridor and the Laguna amenity belt are 20–30 minutes south. Days here revolve around the beach, the national park trails, golf at nearby Blue Canyon and weekend trips across the Sarasin Bridge to the beaches of Phang Nga province. The market offers exceptional space and beachfront proximity for the money, spanning branded residences, modern pool villas and large land plots. Mai Khao suits second-home owners and investors backing the long-term northward growth of the island.
